Bilateral trade volumes, institutional partnerships and industrial collaboration have steadily expanded over recent years, positioning the India-Italy corridor among the important business relationships developing across Europe and Asia.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Italy remains one of India\u2019s significant European trade partners, while Indian companies continue expanding their commercial visibility across Italian and wider European markets through exports, technology partnerships and premium consumer categories. Simultaneously, Italian buyers and distributors are displaying rising interest in authentic, design-orientated and value-focused Indian brands operating across lifestyle, craftsmanship and technology-led sectors.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amidst this growing commercial activity, the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) hosted <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Namaste India 2026<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on May 12 and 13 at Palazzo Giureconsulti in Milan, positioning the initiative as a strategic business access platform for Indian brands seeking expansion across Italy and the wider European commercial ecosystem.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organized by IICCI, which marks over 60 years at the centre of Indo-Italian commercial relations, the Milan initiative was developed around structured market access, commercial positioning and business expansion rather than conventional exhibition visibility. The platform brought together Indian lifestyle brands, Italian distributors, retailers, importers, institutional representatives and commercial operators under a framework centred on B2B interaction, strategic networking and long-term business collaboration.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hosted at Palazzo Giureconsulti, Piazza Mercanti 22, situated near Piazza Duomo in Milan\u2019s commercial district, the programme combined curated showcases, one-to-one business meetings, industry discussions and institutional networking across two days. The historic venue, previously associated with the Milan Stock Exchange, added further commercial significance to the platform.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The opening day focused on curated B2B meetings involving selected Indian companies and Italian distributors, retailers, importers and category-specific stakeholders. The second day featured high-level discussions and exhibition showcases centred on European market entry strategies, commercial expansion opportunities and Indo-Italian business collaboration.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Claudio Maffioletti, CEO of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI)<\/strong><b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">underlined the growing importance of commercially structured platforms capable of creating meaningful interaction between Indian and Italian enterprises operating across premium sectors.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform also witnessed participation and institutional support by<\/span><strong> Shri Lavanya Kumar, Consul General of India at Milan<\/strong><b>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> alongside representatives associated with Promos Italia and Regione Lombardia, both actively involved in supporting the commercial framework behind the initiative. <\/span><strong>Shri Neeraj Khanna, Chairman EPCH, and Mr. Abhijeet Sinha, National Program Director \u2013 Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), were among the prominent participants connected with the Milan programme.<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Namaste India 2026 positioned Italy as an important European gateway for Indian brands operating across premium lifestyle and design-oriented sectors. The initiative focused on creating commercially relevant interaction between Indian companies and Italian operators rather than general exhibition exposure.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation extended across fashion and accessories, wellness and personal care, food and beverages, design and craftsmanship, automotive technologies and AI-powered industrial systems.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fashion participants included contemporary and traditional apparel, textiles, jewellery and leather goods linked to distinctive design narratives. Wellness and personal care brands presented Ayurvedic cosmetics, skincare products, aromatherapy systems and holistic wellness offerings. Food and beverage participation included specialty teas, spices, gourmet products and organic ingredients connected to India\u2019s culinary heritage.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform also extended beyond traditional lifestyle categories. Automotive participants presented engineering systems, aftermarket technologies and industrial components, while AI-focused companies showcased software platforms and intelligent systems linked to industrial and operational efficiency.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the defining aspects of Namaste India 2026 remained its commercially curated structure. IICCI actively identified and shortlisted Italian counterparts aligned with participating Indian companies, including distributors, importers, retailers, concept stores and sector-specific operators. The programme also included targeted partner scouting, institutional networking and visibility through Italian lifestyle, trade and business media channels.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative was organized in partnership with Regione Lombardia, Promos Italia, Fidenza Village as a supporting partner and R\u00f6dl &amp; Partner.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2026 edition marked the second phase of expansion following the inaugural Milan edition organized in June 2025.
